Kerstin Lord new CEO of Galleri Andersson/Sandström, Sara moving on after 21 years!

Kerstin Lord, born in Los Angeles but since many years living and working in Stockholm, has a solid education foundation in both practical and theoretical arts. In addition to six years of national and international art studies she has a bachelor of arts degree from Stockholm University as well as business administration education. Having worked with both exhibitions and art education at Eskilstuna Art Museum and Liljevalchs Gallery she also has experience from the public side of the art industry.

Kerstin has been working as Art Advisor in her own business, and for the past ten years been responsible for contemporary art at Åmells Art Gallery in Stockholm where she has curated numerous exhibitions, internally as well as externally. At the gallery she has also created and built the concept ”Rent your Art”, comprising renting and selling contemporary art to office spaces.

We look forward to taking part of Kerstin’s enthusiasm and experience when she, as CEO, will become responsible for developing Galleri Andersson/Sandström. Kerstin will take up her position on June 1, 2019.

Andy Ludvigsson, Director at our Stockholm gallery, will be responsible for exhibitions and fairs.

Starting fall 2019, Sara Sandström Nilsson will adopt a non-commercial mission within the field of contemporary art but outside the gallery business. The nature of this assignment will be revealed after this summer. Sara is grateful for her 21 fabulous years at the gallery and wishes everyone the best of luck in years to come. She will remain ”friend-of-the-gallery” and look forward to meeting the artists and friends of the gallery in her new position.

Stefan Andersson will remain at the gallery as full-time working Chairman and support for our CEO for the foreseeable future.

Once again, we would like to express our full and unrestricted confidence in Kerstin as our new CEO who will help develop and expand the gallery, take on new challenges, rise to new heights and reach great success.
