Torsten Renqvist (1924–2007) was a Swedish sculptor, visual artist and author born in Ludvika. He studied at Otte Sköld’s painting school, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and the Stockholm Academy of Fine Arts, as well as studying abroad for a period in London. Renqvist was active as a teacher at Valand in Gothenburg from 1955–1958. Mainly known as a sculptor, often using bronze or wood to depict people and animals with personal expressions, his production also includes expressionist paintings.
